CAPABILITIES
.
Electropolishing- is an electrochemical process applied to a metal work piece to enhance the surface. Electropolishing may be used on most any material, but the most commonly electropolished alloys are stainless steel. Electropolishing is used to deburr, super passivate and micro-machine tight tolerances.
Bead Blasting- is a process used to remove unwanted surface deposits from the work piece. The process involves applying fine glass bead to the surface. The glass bead is applied at low pressure to prohibit damage to the work piece.  Our 11 x 11 x 20 ft. blasting cabinet enables us to provide quality bead blasting of a wide range of  parts.
Mechanical Polishing-  involves the deliberate removal of metal from the surface using an abrasive. Polishing is merely described as 'satin', 'polished', 'dull', 'bright' or 'mirror'  and it can vary quite significantly between mechanical finishing contractors.
Passivation- is a process used to remove contaminates from the surface of work piece. Often during forming and machining small particles will become imbedded in the material surface. The passivation process removes the conatminates and creates a corrosion inhibiting barrier.
Mobile Services-
True Spec Finishes will come to you for Mechanical Finishing and Passivation services. We travel from coast to coast  serving customers on-site for their convenience.
True Spec Finishes has the capacity to perform these finishes on a wide range of parts, from a 1/4" diameter tubing  that weighs a few ounces to a 10 ton vessel.   TSF has a 1-10 ton w/ 2o' hook ht. crane for the  maneuvering of the more extreme in size pieces of work.
Buffing- is a specific type of mechanical polishing using a high speed disc made from layers of cloth, leather, or plastic impregnated with an abrasive. The workpiece is pressed against the disc for buffing.
